The Complete Experience 

I am delighted to be offering this wonderful full day of Yoga at this beautiful Retreat Centre in Gerrards Cross. A full Yoga Day for us to experience the main parts of the practice in much more depth. 

  • The Physical Postures - Asanas
  • Yoga Breathing - Pranayama
  • Meditation and Mindfulness 
  • Relaxation

We will have time to go into much more depth and you will come way feeling like you have been on a mini Yoga Retreat. 

Full Day Schedule

9.30 - Welcome and introduction

9.45 - Yoga practice with Suzy - Lifting the Energy - I love focusing on postures that lift your energy and open the chest and heart. The morning session will mainly be standing postures with a variety of hip opening and revolving poses. You will feel alive and awake and fully stretched out. 

11.00 - Short break - Refreshments are provided - hot and cold drinks and some tasty snacks and nibbles.

11.15 - Pranayama with Lesley Doveton - Mahat Yoga Pranayama (Grand Yoga Breath) Lesley is an excellent Yoga teacher and has been teaching for over 25 years. Lesley loves teaching this technique because she says "it forms a foundation for all pranayama practice. It is also an excellent method for everyone to learn as it improves breathing habits, it has a positive effect on every system of our body as well as calming the mind"

Lesley will also take you through the Ujjayi Breath - this technique helps to slow down the breath, improves longevity, cleanses and refreshes the subtle channels of the body (the nadis) infusing the mind and body with great life force and energy. 

11.45 - Choosing Sankalpa with Lesley. Sankalpa is a short phrase or sentence, clearly and concisely expressed, using the same wording each time, to bring about a positive change in one’s life. Your sankalpa remains private to you. This is a short session preparing you with your chosen intention for your Yoga Nidra deep relaxation later in the afternoon. 

12.00 Meditation with Suzy - Basic simple sitting meditation. Learn how to practice for a short period each day using this technique. You will always finish feeling a greater sense of calm and peace. What a wonderful way to start your day! 

12.15 - Mindful Living with Suzy - Learn how to apply simple mindfulness exercises to our every day living and notice the benefits in a very short time. You will be able to manage stress and anxiety so much more effectively and even start to feel a greater sense of joy and positivity in your life. 

12.45 - Lunch - Please bring a light lunch, refreshments are provided

13.15 - Pranayama  with Lesley - Alternate Nostril Breathing (Nadi Shodhana) Shodhana means purification and cleaning. Our subtle energy can get blocked through stress, physical toxicity and even trauma. The wonderful calming breath technique allows the passages to clear, balancing also both sides of the brain. This also helps soothe mood changes, anger, depression and assists sleep.

13.45 - Yoga with Suzy - Calming the Energy - this session focuses on sitting postures and working with the more feminine 'Yin' energy in the body, to help the body to relax and rest more deeply into postures. These postures are also effective during recuperation and healing. They also work on the lymphatic system to help you detox. 

15.00 - Break

15.15 - Refresher Sankalpa and Yoga Nidra with Lesley - This is a tremendous deep relaxation technique which totally calms, relaxes and balances and central nervous system. Yoga Nidra can have the same effect on someone as several hours of sleep.

16.00 - Farewells

Join me for a full and fun day exploring the different aspects of Yoga and enjoy a beautiful quiet day of retreat in a wonderful serene and peaceful environment with beautiful like-minded people.
